Strawberry Jam

I crave PB&J sandwiches at least once a week! One of the problems with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches is all that sugar that’s added to the ingredients. So I use this zero added sugar Sunflower Seed Butter and I make my own jam – which is SO STINKING easy! You can try other frozen fruit in place of the strawberries I used here and I’m sure it will be delicious! Try it out next time you’re craving a good ol’ PB&J and enjoy!

Makes: 4-5 TBS of jam (I usually double the recipe to keep for a while)
Total Time:  20-25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen bag of straberries
  • 2 TBS of Raw Organic Honey
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 TBS chia seeds

 What to do:

  • In a small pot over high heat add the strawberries, honey, and lemon juice and mash with a potato smasher
  • Bring to a boil and simmer on low for 5 minutes
  • Add the chia seeds and simmer on low for 10 minutes stirring VERY often so it doesn’t burn (if doubling up the recipe simmer for about 15-20 minutes until it gets a thick as you want it)
  • Set aside and cool before you pour into your jar
