Makes: 1 cup
Total Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of fresh basil leaves
- 3 TBS walnuts (or pine nuts if you’re feeling fancy; too rich for my blood)
- 3 cloves of garlic grated
- zest and juice from 1 lemon
- 2-3 TBS nutritional yeast
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 3-4 TBS olive oil
- water until you reach the consistency you like (took me about 5 TBS)
What to do:
- Place all ingredients except the olive oil and water in your food processor and run on high
- As your pesto is blending, slowly pour olive oil and water in and mix well
- Use to marinate meat or as a pasta sauce or whatever your little heart desires and enjoy!
