Makes: 4 serving
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
- olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 onion
- 1 box of veggie pasta or whole wheat pasta
- 15.5 oz jar of Raos Marinara (or your favorite marinara)
- 1.5 cup of water
- Couple handfuls of spinach
- 1/2 – 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
What to do:
- Preheat your broiler
- Dice your onion into small pieces and chop your spinach
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add your onions; saute for 3-5 minutes
- Add your beef and ground up until no longer pink
- Add salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning and mix up
- Add in your pasta, marinara and water and mix up; simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the pasta is to your liking
- Add your spinach and mix well for about another minute or so
- Sprinkle on your shredded cheese and broil for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted and beginning to brown
- Sprinkle on some fresh parsley and enjoy
