Total Time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 head of kale
- 4-5 strips of bacon
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper
What to do:
- Remove the kale from the stems and chop up
- Cut your bacon into small bite size pieces
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook your bacon pieces until they crisp up to your liking
- Remove your bacon pieces and set aside on a paper towel covered plate; keep the bacon fat in skillet
- Turn the heat to low and CAREFULLY add your kale to the skillet – the bacon grease will pop
- Add your lemon juice and spices and mix around until kale is wilted to your liking
- Turn the heat off and mix back in your bacon and serve warm
